The Transmission control plane is built around three surfaces — device discovery, signal routing, real-time monitoring. Each lives on a single web page, mobile-responsive, push-updated over WebSocket. No CLI. No proprietary terminals.
Route
One click. IS-05 stage and activate, MDB verification, take history. Confirm-before-take by default. Salvos for synchronized multi-route execution.
Monitor
Sub-second port stats. Bandwidth, drop counts, FCS errors, SFP optical power. PTP lock status pushed via WebSocket.
03 · THE STACK
Commodity 100GbE.
Broadcast-grade routing.
Built around the MikroTik CRS520-4XS-16XQ (16× QSFP28 100G + 4× SFP28 25G) and the Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini family. RouterOS 7.x is configured automatically — bridge, IGMP snooping, flow control, MTU 9000, port speeds, breakout — through the app. No CLI.

Transmission is built on AMWA NMOS IS-04 (discovery) and IS-05 (connection management) over a PTP IEEE-1588v2 timing domain, sourced from Timebeat. SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy is supported on dual-fabric builds. Multicast routing uses IGMP snooping with multicast querier on the bridge.
